This new kilim hails from Ushak in Western Anatolia, just across the Aegean Sea. While Ushak is renowned for its exceptional carpets, the region—along with nearby Eşme and Denizli—has gained recognition as an important center for contemporary kilim production. Though kilims of varying quality are woven there, we carefully curate pieces that honor traditional hand-spinning and natural dye methods, selecting only beautifully woven examples with thoughtfully rendered patterns.
