This is an old kilim from Antalya (Antalia), a town near the Mediterranean in western Anatolia.
Antalya kilims are a collective term for kilims traded in that region, and more precisely, refer to those woven in the surrounding area. In modern times, sun-faded kilims—a style created by exposing the weaving to intense sunlight to achieve a bleached effect—are produced in this region.
What makes this kilim particularly beautiful is its perfectly arranged medallion pattern. Multiple diamond-shaped medallions line up in succession, a characteristic feature of old Antalya kilim design.
The overall soft palette of pale grass green, gray, and pinkish beige is anchored by deep brown borders and orange accents, creating a refined composition.
