Antep Cecim Jejim Cicim Kilim

An antique Cicim from Gaziantep in Eastern Anatolia. Located in southeastern Turkey near the Syrian border, this town was known as Antep during the Ottoman period before being renamed Gaziantep in the 1920s.
This flat-woven piece features beautiful rainbow-like horizontal stripes, with delicate Cicim motifs woven throughout using the same palette of colors. Each hue has been naturally mellowed by time, creating a soft, unified tone that is colorful yet wonderfully cohesive.
