Product Information

Are your rugs hand-woven? +

Yes. All the carpets we produce are completely natural and hand-woven carpets. The production processes of carpets with unique patterns, which are produced with natural materials and completely traditional methods, are followed constantly. Weaving a carpet on a loom is a delicate process. It requires attention and effort. Considering the locations of the villages in this geography, following the process on-site is at least as difficult as weaving a carpet. We are proud to succeed. We always invite our customers to our workshops and Malatya center to experience our all processes, and we are happy to share our expertise and production.

Are the materials used natural? +

Yes. The materials used in our carpets that decorate your home or valuable places come from the natural beauties that mother nature gives us. We respect the environment, protect and develop the old and produce these unique works in 100% natural ways. We are honored with this.

Do you use chemicals on your rugs/carpets? +

No. As we have clearly stated in our sustainability policy, all of our rugs/carpets are produced with materials from nature, 100% natural ways and we do not harm the nature. 

How do you get the colors? +

We know from past civilizations and legacies that it is possible to produce all the colors our eyes see with natural resources in nature. This is the most important part of our business to make many resources to improve our dyeing techniques. We use both old techniques and new methods to have the unique and incredible natural colors you see in oriental and modern carpets without using any chemicals. We are in constant cooperation with universities and academics.

How do I clean my rug/carpet? +

Yes. All our rugs/carpets are washable. You can wash the rug/carpet you bought at home with your own means, and for this we are giving away a booklet called "how to clean your rug/carpet at home".

If the rug/carpet you purchased is large, you will either do it in your garage or contact Ararat Studios. We also provide professional cleaning services for any kind rugs/carpets and we have an expert team for cleaning antique rugs/carpets, kilims as well.

My rug is shedding is that normal? +

Hand-woven rug/carpet short-time shedding is a very natural thing, but rugs/carpets produced by Ararat go through many checks and controls before they are sent to you.

Do you repair damaged rugs? +

Yes. We have nearly 50 years of experience in this field. We repair antique carpets and valuable carpets for you by passing them through a special process. We analyze the carpet to be repaired, then we start the repair process by gathering the materials, if you give your approval.

Do you produce oversize rugs? +

Yes. Adhering to all the policies and production techniques described in these pages, we manufacture oversize rugs/carpets in one piece because we also have the largest looms in the world.

Oversized Rugs are made by our passionate professionals. Your order of oversized rugs is produced in approximately one year, depending on the size, completely using traditional methods, including antique or modern designs. You can access our ERP system online and track & monitor the status of your carpet simultaneously. We have to think about everything and this job is no mistake. Is the color/pattern/size I want available? +

Yes. We are able to produce the carpets you see on these pages or come across in a museum in the same color, size, pattern and quality for you. We also gladly consider your customized and personalized projects. We work with various professions and sectors in this regard. Do you repair damaged rugs? +

Yes. We are able to produce the carpets you see on these pages or come across in a museum in the same color, size, pattern and quality for you. Do you have a store or showroom that I can visit? +

Yes. For now, you can see our products and production techniques at 3 points in the world; Malatya & Istanbul in Turkey and Tokyo in Japan. Follow our contact pages where they are. We will be pleased to host you. We plan to open stores in major cities around the world, either in person or with a franchise model.

Can I customize my rug? +

Yes. Also this is a great idea. You can transform your child's first painting into a carpet and immortalize it. Or you may want the carpet you see in a museum to be in your home or office. It makes no difference to patterns, colors or size. We meet your special production demands by adhering to all the techniques and values described here.

Can I follow the production process? +

Yes. If the carpet you ordered is produced specially for you, you can follow the production stage from the ERP interface you will be provided, or you can request verbal or written information from us. We even offer you the opportunity to see how the carpet is produced on site, if you wish.

How long does it take to produce my order? +

This varies depending on the size, pattern, colors and of course which carpet family it belongs to. Hand-woven carpets can take from 1 to 3 months to weave, depending on the weather or the weaver's conditions. As explained here, your loom and weaving area is the first part of the job.

Order Information

How do I order as a company? +

Yes. You can order rugs/carpets on behalf of yourself or your company. Your invoice, warranty certificate and all other details are arranged accordingly.

Do you offer discounts to related professions? +

To be honest, we give any possible discount to anyone who complies with our sustainability policies. In big projects, we always talk to each other or discuss the issue by video conference. This is a feature of our culture.

Can I request that my order be shipped to another country? +

Yes. We take orders from all over the world and deliver them to the address you want, guaranteed from the door. We use special materials to prevent any damage to the carpet during our shipments. The product you buy is also guaranteed for transportation.

Can I track my order? +

From the moment you place an order, our expert team contacts you and informs you. We also take care of it after shipment. We give you a code where you can track your order. In this way, you can track your order. We also hold a customer satisfaction meeting/call with you after the order is delivered to you.

Can I cancel my order? +

Yes. If your order has not yet entered the production stage, we will immediately cancel your order. If your order is a product you like from the showroom, we immediately cancel it and stop the process until it is shipped.

Will I have to pay customs and duty fees? +

We know that this issue varies from country to country, and this is a topic we discussed and agreed with you during the ordering process.

Shipping & Delivery

How long is the delivery time? +

This varies according to the country and city you are in, but we work with the most professional transportation brands like FEDEX,DHL or UPS and we give you a tracking code where you can follow the processes after your order is out of us. We also follow the progress of the shipped order for you. All our transports are under warranty.

What is the shipping fee? +

Our products are shipping-free. You do not pay a shipping fee for the order you place or the product you buy.

How will my order be delivered? +

Your order will be hand-delivered to the address you provide by professional companies in transportation. The product is insured during transportation. You should pay attention to this issue when receiving the order. The product you order comes in a special packaging and has a special lock on it to see if it has been opened.

What should I do if my order is damaged or lost during transport? +

Please don't panic when you received the damaged product. The product is insured and all costs will be collected from the transport company. We can produce a new carpet for you or cancel your order. If you have received the product from the transportation company intact and you have detected a deterioration in the product, it is enough to contact us.

Payment

Which currencies do you accept? +

We use US Dollar and/or Euro currency.

How secure is your payment method? +

We do all our payment transactions with 3D secure or we use transfer to bank account. We leave this entirely to your choice.

What payment methods do you offer? +

We offer a variety of payment methods so you have the freedom to choose the one that suits you best. You can choose one of the following payment methods.

Do you issue invoices? +

Yes. In line with the information you provide, we issue a sales invoice to your name or company. We also send warranty certificate, user manual and other booklets.
